LEGACY DONATIONS

Make a Lasting Impact – Leave a Legacy Gift in your Will to Doodle Rescue

Our mission is to rescue, rehabilitate, and rehome doodles in need, ensuring they find loving forever homes. By choosing to leave a legacy gift to Doodle Rescue in your Will, you can extend your love for doodles beyond your lifetime, ensuring that Doodle Rescue can continue to give doodles in need the care, protection, and love they deserve, for years to come.

Your legacy gift can help us to continue our work.  Legacy gifts allow us to plan for the future in a way that no other gift can. Legacy gifts left to Doodle Rescue via your Will are a wonderful way to guarantee that your support continues when you are no longer here to help in person.

How to Leave a Legacy Gift

Including a legacy gift to Doodle Rescue in your Will ensures you can continue to express your love for doodles beyond your lifetime. There are several ways you can make a legacy Gift in your Will:

  • All Or A Percentage of Your Estate: Consider leaving the entirety or a percentage of your estate to Doodle Rescue.

  • A Fixed Amount: Leave a specific sum to Doodle Rescue.

  • Residuary Gift: Once you’ve provided for your loved ones, donate the remainder of your estate to Doodle Rescue.

  • Specific Items: You can leave particular assets, such as property, shares, or valuables, to Doodle Rescue.

Whatever you decide, we strongly recommend consulting your solicitor to ensure your wishes are clearly expressed and legally documented in your Will, ensuring your wishes will be carried out by your executors as you intend.
You will need to provide your solicitor with the following when instructing them to make your chosen legacy gift:

Charity name: DOODLE RESCUE
Registered address: Lytchett House, 13 Freeland Park,
Wareham Road, Poole, Dorset BH16 6FA
Registered charity number 1193955

Suggested wording for your legacy gift:

”I leave all (or a _% share of) my residuary estate for Doodle Rescue, Lytchett House, 13 Freeland Park, Wareham Road, Poole, Dorset BH16 6FA (Registered charity number 1193955) for its general charitable purposes and I declare that the receipt of the proper officer for the time being of the said charity shall be a sufficient discharge to my executors”

We are here to help

Leaving a gift in your Will to Doodle Rescue is a very personal and important decision and we are here to help if needed. If you would like to speak to someone about your legacy gift, please email doodlerescueuk@gmail.com . We will be more than happy to help.

If you have remembered Doodle Rescue in your Will, we’d love to hear from you. Not only will this help us make plans for the future of Doodle Rescue, it also means we can thank you personally for your generosity and support. Anything you tell us will be confidential and not legally binding. Please email us and we can arrange a convenient time for a phone conversation.

CARE OF YOUR DOODLE and BEQUEATHING YOUR DOODLE

When writing or updating your will to include your legacy gift to Doodle Rescue, remember to include your instructions for the care of your doodle (and any other pets). This will give you peace of mind that they will be cared for as you would wish. You should seek the agreement of the friend or family member you wish to leave the care of and responsibility of your pets to before naming them as their Guardian in your Will. If you would prefer Doodle Rescue to find your doodle a loving new home, (or wish to nominate Doodle Rescue in the event of your named Guardian being unable to take responsibility for your doodle) you will need to state this in your Will.
When contacting Doodle Rescue to let us know about your legacy gift, please also let us know if you have made arrangements in your Will for us to care for and find a loving home for your doodle.

By leaving a legacy gift to Doodle Rescue you will continue to be a champion for doodles in need, even beyond your lifetime - doodles like Maddie and Eliza, below. Your legacy gift will make a lasting impact, giving vulnerable doodles a brighter future and enabling Doodle Rescue to plan for the charity’s future. Thank you, from us and the doodles, for making the commitment to continue to support our mission by making a legacy gift in your will.

13 week old blind puppy Maddie received specialist training and rehab from Doodle Rescue’s behavioural adviser and IMDT trainer, Debbie Topping. She is now very much living her best life with her adoring family. Your legacy gift will ensure we can continue to help doodles like Maddie

2 years ago, Irish Doodle ELIZA (video below) was found collapsed and exhausted beside a busy A road. She was fostered and nursed back to physical and mental health over many months by our behavioural adviser and IMDT trainer, Debbie Topping, who subsequently adopted her. Eliza is a doodle clown who makes her mum laugh every day with her daft antics! Your legacy gift will ensure we can continue to help doodles like Eliza to recover from unimaginable trauma.
